I just realized that the last timeI posted here was November last year, *the horror*
So, let's update you on what happened.
I have gotten a little crafty, went on an awesome holiday with my lil bro, went on an awesome holiday home to Malaysia and somehow ended up where I am with no glasses as I forgot to wear it this morning... T.T
Craft
- I did a paint by numbers, a friend said that it was something for kids (kids in the western culture) to do in their spare time. But I kind of enjoyed myself doing it.
- I also started on Project 365, for origami where I try to make one a day. I will cover on that one day...
Holiday with bro
- went on our very first trip to Japan ^_^ (will cover on that soon too)
Holiday home
- cousin's wedding, so went back to see family and friends. Was lovely!
Holiday was December, and January was back here, February was work and work, March was and is now... Budget time... and SZ came to visit...
And I will update on my movies soon...

Man of Steel
Hmmm... another movie that has already made it to DVD... :p
So... Man of Steel... Hmmm... what can I say about it...
It is a Superman movie which is I guess slightly different from the normal generic Superman movies.
This one goes back to as far as Superman's origins and his parents and all. I am not sure if it is similar to Smallville, as I never watched that series.
Superman is a man of steel, due to many factors... for starters, cause he is an alien like the Doctor from Doctor Who except the Doctor has 2 hearts and can live forever and regenerate and so on. I am not entirely sure about the life span of Superman though but we know about his thing for Kryptonite. It is explained in the movie about that as well.
My verdict for Man of Steel is that too many buildings were destroyed... Those buildings seem like it is made of probably paper or Tofu as they were so easily destroyed, but I guess it has to be the case as they are aliens fighting and I guess Earth buildings are probably not very strong to aliens.
It also gives me the lesson on Superman's origins and how he became who he is.
He is pretty good looking eh... The S and the reason for the outfit is also explained. So, do watch it if you do want to know some background on Superman for maybe... a date with a guy interested in Superman or maybe just some general knowledge.
Jor-El: You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.
Would I watch it again? Erm... it is not exactly my kind of a movie, but I guess I would if I am in the mood for it or if my imaginary bf wants to watch it... haha...
Till next time...

Places I want to visit at some point in life
If given the chance, I would love to travel the world...
Travelling I guess is just something I have always dreamt of doing from a young age. It lead to me wanting a job where I could travel but I have not got to that job yet. At the moment, I am thinking that job would probably be an air stewardess.
Before I stray to another topic all together, let me start with the places I want to visit at some point in my life and I do not think it is impossible now in this day and age where budget airlines and cheap fares exist. All you really need to do is plan and keep a good look out for good fares.
1. Great Wall of China
My heritage is from China and there is so much history there. Would be cool to visit it.
2. Tulip fields in Netherlands
Pretty right...
3. Sakura season in Japan
4. Sea of Stars on Vaadhoo Island in the Maldives
Any where in Maldives is good too as it is such a beautiful place.
6. Tunnel of Love in Klevan, Ukraine
Looks like a picture out of fairy tales...
7. Glowworm Caves in Waitomo, New Zealand
I do not like worms, but that is just too pretty...
8. Colloseum in Rome
For historic values
Just cause it is in too many movies, series and so on
Romantic
Just cause it is the Eiffel Tower... Nuff said...
I guess that is all for today... Hope you like the pretty pictures. :)

Monsters University
OMG!!! I am sooo late in this review that I am still thinking if I should do it...
I mean... the DVD is already on the way out... :s I mean... it is already out... lol...
So... for the minority of people out there who have yet to watch this movie and do not know anything about it, Monsters University is a predecessor of Monsters Incorporated. It tells of the tale of how Mike and Sully became besties in Monsters Incorporated. Monsters Uni is a time when they were sworn enemies and so on... you have to watch the movie now to see why that is the case and how they became besties... hehe
Let us just cut to the chase, my verdict for Monster's University is it is ok...
"Awww... Don't look at me like that... " says ALSY...
Yea... it is just ok, cause I guess I expected more. I loved Monsters Inc.
It was one of the movies my bro used to play repeatedly on tv and we used to even recite the lines to it and the wait was so long and I expected this huge cool amazing probably awesome avatar kind of a movie, given the years between the original and the prequel.
If I just wipe away all that expectation of that movie, I can say it is probably a good children's movie and now that the kids have watched it. It is time... time for Monster's Inc! ^_^
Will I watch it again? Hmmm... probably if I have a few mates in for a Monster's night... :)
Mike Wazowski: I've been waiting for this my whole life! I'm gonna be a scarer!
We all know (if you watch Monster's Inc) that he never became one... but why? :p
Till next time,

Tamagotchi
Did you know, the Tamagotchi jas been around for more than 10 years now.
Since 1996, the virtual pet toy have been a childhood iconic toy for most of the kids from that generation.
I remember my first tamagotchi which my granma got for me from Japan many many years ago and it was a dinosaur. And then it broke... somehow... Later on, the digimon craze came about and my dad got me a digimon version 2. It was pretty fun at that time, but I kinda treated my digimon as a tamagotchi... cause it was similar in my opinion. And then the battery died.
Years later, I had always craved to have one but it was always too expensive or not worth buying and all that (cause when you are a very poor student, you can't afford a lot of things). And then I graduated and got a job, and I remembered that tamagotchi dream I had...
So, I did a research on it to see what kind there was and I was throughly surprised by the ways that virtual pet toy have evolved too... There are sooo many versions out there. I chose the version 4.5, Familitchi which is a tamagotchi which is family based with almost 3 pets everytime they breed and so on. I got it off eBay and we have lived happily ever after since. ^_^

Life...
When something has not happened, we anticipate and wish for it, imagining, dreaming of the best that it can be.
And then it happens... almost never as expected as we set such a high standard for it to achieve.
One thing goes wrong, another goes wrong and you just wish it never happened.
Time passes, and it haunts you, the memories of what once was, could be, your hopes and dreams, shattered in just one sitting. You have to gather the remains of it, and create something new from the start knowing that what you had will not be the same as what you are going to create. It is going to better, it will not shatter and it will definitely stand tall and create a solid foundation to your future.
But... if you make a mistake, it may come tumbling down again... but, such is life.. you create and it breaks, you learn where you did wrong, patch up the holes and cracks, and continue building something stronger.

Random Update
I recently joined a local community choir called Singongo. It is the best thing that I did this year I think. When I first joined, I really was not sure if I did the right thing as well it was a totally different thing and as time went past, it became only better and now every practice I go to makes me happy and the people are all really nice and funny. :)
Today I did my second choir performance in Kiama Uniting Church. I did not take any photos but I enjoyed it heaps. We sang bout 10 songs; All Day, All Night, California Dreaming, Chan Chan, Is she really going out with him?, Storm, and many more...
Besides, having loads of fun singing, I also got to see the families of my choir mates. They are all heaps nice and our choir director, is really nice as well and she also is sooo sweet with her bikie bf.
In conclusion, I have heaps and loads of fun today and I hope to continue this for many years to come. ^_^
